  • Earthlinks to Bloom !

In this Recession it is important that we recognize and encourage local businesses which are defying current difficult economic conditions and who are getting out of their comfort zone in order to survive this Recession. In this new series of BLOGS “Local Businesses Beating the Recession” we at Morgan McManus pay tribute to such businesses. These are the true entrepreneurs of the 21st Century.

Local Castleblayney man Michael Carroll set up his landscape and gardening business Earthlinks in 2008 with a passion for horticulture and landscape design. In 2011, he qualified with a B.Sc in Horticulture from The Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown, County Dublin. Earlier this year, he was accepted into the prestigious ALCI which is the trade association for the Landscape Contractors of Ireland. He had always set his sights on showcasing his talents at Bloom which is Ireland’s Largest Gardening, Food & Family Event. When he and fellow landscape designer Kevin Dennis designed their garden they aimed it at the highest standard. Bloom 2013 (now in its 7th year) is taking place in the Phoenix Park Dublin over the June bank holiday weekend, from Thursday 30th May until Monday 3rd June 2013.

It’s definitely a garden with a difference and one worth checking out at the festival so support one of Monaghan’s upcoming landscape designers and drop into him to check out this garden at this year’s Bloom festival. Watch the garden evolve by following Michael on www.earthlinks.ie, twitter or Facebook!
