Brian Morgan B.C.L, Solicitor

Brian Morgan graduated from UCD in 1979 and trained with the firm of T.J Fitzpatrick & Co., Solicitors Cavan from 1980 to 1983. In 1983 he acquired the long established Practice formerly known as Henry Murphy & Son. In the succeeding years the Practice has expanded and, after Fergal McManus joined as a Partner in 2000, the Practice is now known as Morgan McManus.

Brian practices particularly in the area of Litigation and Employment Law providing services to individuals, businesses and companies. Very few solicitors, in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, have the breadth of knowledge of the law which applies in each jurisdiction. This is invaluable to clients requiring a solicitor who can advise on Cross-Border issues. He has also many years of experience in Litigation involving Health & Safety Law. Having completed seminar attendance and assignments at the Queens University of Belfast he was awarded a Certificate in “ADR and Mediation Training” on the 27th October 2004.

Community
Brian is a former Chairman of the Clones Regeneration Partnership, a body which was comprised of representatives from Community and Local Authority, which was formed in 1998 to assist in the regeneration of Clones town and its hinterland. He has established successful contacts with the centre for Cross-Border Studies, IntertradeIreland, and many other cross-border bodies.  He is a Director of the Peacelink in Clones, an €8m Sports Centre dedicated to development of the community through sport in the Clones Erne-East region.   He is also the Clones representative Director of Enterprising Monaghan.

Personal
Brian is married to Dolores and they have four children.  Brian is a member of Clones Golf Club. Brian walks regularly every day. He enjoys a challenge.
