REPUBLIC OF IRELAND CLAIMS


The law on accident claims in the Republic of Ireland is liable to change because of

The Personal Injuries Assessment Boards Act 2004

The Civil Liability and Courts Bill 2004

If enacted, the Bill will require a claimant to detail in writing to the Defendant within 2 months the nature of his claim and to issue proceedings within one year (whereas the term allowed in Northern Ireland is three years).
